Approximately 30 miles from the OBX beaches, in Barco, NC, on Caratoke Hwy (168), is the Morris Farm Market.  In short, it has some of the freshest and best tasting produce, pies, cakes, sauces, ciders, jams, and peanut butter east of Mayberry.  You have to drive past it on the way to the beach, why not stop and pick up some good food.
